Wireless Baseband/PHY-Algorithm Engineer, Bengaluru


  • Development of PHY algorithms and architecture for 3GPP waveforms (4G/5G), Broadcast (DVB-T, ATSC,etc.) and satellite applications
  • Design and modeling of Wireless transmitter and receiver systems and simulations using C/Matlab or equivalent tools
  • Fixed point modeling and analysis of PHY baseband algorithms
  • Working with the design teams for mapping the PHY to chip/software architecture
  • The candidate is expected to be proficient in C/C+ +, Fixed point Modeling and Analysis
  • Understanding and Managing PHY layer IP’S
  • Drive innovation is baseband modern algorithm design and architecture
  • Support design engineering team


  • + 3 Years’ experience in Wireless Baseband/ PHY Algorithm Development


  • Must be B. E/ B. S/ B. Tech/ M.S/ME/M.Tech/PhD in Electronics and Communication (Related branches will be considered)
  • Strong academic background with excellent oral and written communication


  • Knowledge of FEC decoder (TURBO, VITERBI, LDPC etc.)
  • Proficiency in digital modulation/ demodulation schemes for single carrier and Multicarrier schemes like OFDM, Equalizers, receivers, beam forming, and inner/outer decoder/encoder receiver technologies, data converters
  •  PHY architecture design for wireless baseband processor
  • Experience in design and architecture of waveforms involving MANET
  • Excellent analytical, abstraction, communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to work with multi-functional, multi-site teams and a desire to work as a team player is a must
  • Proficiency in Matlab and C/C+ + is a plus
  •  Self-driven, result oriented individual with a capability to work as an independent contributor
  • Motivated to work in a multidisciplinary start-up environment

Software Engineer/Sr Software Engineer/Tech Lead (Physical Layer), Bengaluru


  • The candidate will be responsible for design and development of satellite communication
    physical layer standards
  • Interfacing to the SW/DSP/Algorithms teams to translate DSP algorithms to custom SOC/DSP
    firmware (Fixed point C & VLIW/SIMD
  • System integration & verification of algorithms on DSP (HW/controller interfacing, FW/SW partitioning, module/ system level testing)
  • Analyzing and debugging the system issues (field trails, compliance tests, customer
  • Optimizing system performance w.r.t MIPS/Memory/Latency requirements



  • 2-9 years in relevant domain


  • Experience in physical layer implementation for satellite wireless technology
  • Experience in physical layer SW development (Layer1 Control/DSP)
  • Experience in embedded software development
  • Programming in C/C+ +, Matlab and VLIW/SIMD assembly on processors like
    c64x/Blackfin etc.
  • Excellent analytical and debugging skills
  •  Prior experience with chip development/commercialization is a plus
